For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the [sacrifices] of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.
And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the [sacrifices] of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
To the end that the children of Israel may bring their [sacrifices], which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the LORD.
Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the [sacrifices] of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.
And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your [sacrifices], and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:
Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your [sacrifices], your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:
And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy [sacrifices] shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
But that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings, and with our [sacrifices], and with our peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no part in the LORD.
Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for [sacrifices]; but it is a witness between us and you.
God forbid that we should rebel against the LORD, and turn this day from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for [sacrifices], beside the altar of the LORD our God that is before his tabernacle.
And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed [sacrifices] the same day unto the LORD.
And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice [sacrifices] of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.
And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed [sacrifices] of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered [sacrifices]. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
And when they went in to offer [sacrifices] and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.

Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring [sacrifices] and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.
In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered [sacrifices], and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits;
Also that day they offered great [sacrifices], and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
To what purpose is the multitude of your [sacrifices] unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their [sacrifices] shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and [sacrifices], and meat offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD.
For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their [sacrifices], and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.
They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their [sacrifices] shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.
And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices].
Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and [sacrifices] by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those [sacrifices] which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
